Incline Push-Up

Setup

  1. Place hands on a stable bench or rail.
  2. Walk feet back until the body forms a straight line.

Execution

  1. Lower the chest toward the support with elbows angled back.
  2. Press the support away while keeping the trunk firm.

Feel and control

  • Body moves as one
  • Chest to support
  • Press the floor away

Avoid

  • Hips sagging
  • Head reaching forward
  • Elbows flaring straight out
BREATHING

Inhale down; exhale up.

TEMPO

3 seconds down, 1 second pause, 2 seconds up

SAFETY

Use a higher support to reduce difficulty and keep the movement controlled.
